Music & Bell Ringing
Music is an important part of life and an important part of our life together as a Christian community.
Music Group at St Luke’s, Tutshill
At Tutshill there has been a long history now of musicians of various kinds committing themselves to playing at church services. Most do not play or sing every week. If you are interested in being involved we are always on the lookout for additional singers, instrumentalists and those called to lead worship. Contact Vicar David for further details.
Join a choir
There are two choirs in the Parish. One is a robed choir based at Tidenham Church who sing every week at the Sunday morning service. Please contact Roger Martin for more details.
The other choir sings at St Luke’s, Tutshill usually at the second Sunday Eucharist, and sometimes at the Chase Church. Please speak to the churchwardens.
In addition a choir is occasionally assembled for special services and events. Look out for details!
Parish Folk Club
Equivalent to concepts such as ‘Open Mic’ and ‘Acoustic Music Club’ Parish Folk Club is a once a month gathering 6-8pm at St Luke’s Church, Tutshill. A mixture of locals, church and non-church, gather to listen, play and enjoy music together, trying out new material with snacks and a drink! All welcome. Contact Bill & Tanya White.
Bell-ringing
We have six bells at Tidenham Church and an enthusiastic band of ringers. We ring for the Sunday morning 9am services at Tidenham and for other occasions such as weddings. Practice night is Tuesday 7.30pm-9pm. Contact Cate Phillips for details.
